Repro Fallschirmjäger boots on the way...expect review

Postby Fallschirmjäger on Mon Jun 22, 2009 3:26 am

I ordered a pair of 2. Pattern jump boots from At the Front today. i czeched UPS' website which stated they should be here by Friday.

If i had $6000 for a pair of originals, then I would do a side by side...but i will instead reference photos of originals.

Here's ATF's stock photo until I recieve my pair

Never really noticed it before they look a lot like the current British army boots

Well, I've had my boots for 3 hours so far.
When I pulled them from the box, I was impressed. My normal shoe size is a size 14. I ordered a size 13 from At the Front, and these fit like a glove.

At first, the soles (being made from extremley thik leather) are a bit stiff.

The leather sole has flushed hobnails, which can be a bit slippery on wood and tile floors, carpeting, and grass. They fair well in dirt.
