Hello everyone. This is the famous DiD guy we all know with a nice Oberst uniform and insignia by Toys City. Even for a Oberst crushers are hard to find so he doesn't have one yet. If a day comes when he does have a crusher I will post updated photos. Thanks Dave

Nice figure you have there except for one small detail... the close combat clasp is an army one not a luft one and it's upside down. The luft has their own version of the clasp which had the oakleaves like the flying combat clasps but in the center was a luft eagle flying clutching a swastika with a crossed grenade and bayonet below the swastika. Don't feel bad about getting the clasp upside down... in the movie The Eagle Has Landed they got Radle's upside down as well ....lol see even the professional movie makes make mistakes. Here is a scan of the luft combat clasp from Angolia's book For Führer und Fatherland

Looks great Dave! I agree that the CCC needs to be flipped over. However, I do not know of any Luftwaffe CCCs ever being awarded. Yes, there was documentation...but was there actually the LW badge to go along with it?

Yes they were, one of the earliest awards of Class I was made to Obergefreiter AlbertMählmann of the Hermann Göring-Division on 19 December 1944.
The first award of the Class III awarded personally to an NCO by Hitler in January 1945. In addition to the award he and subsequent recipients were given 21 day furloughs. It says that being that late in the war the awardees probably appreciated the leave more than the award.

Well, that makes two...but the Heer/SS CCC is still a bit more accurate than the Luft version. 99.99999% of the pictures I've seen of luftwaffe guys who've been awarded the CCC have the Heer version
